First of all, it is necessary to install and configure the HAM ThermoSense device in order to fully control it through our app or web app.
To this end, you can follow the detailed instructions provided in our article on the subject, by clicking here.

Configuring the device interface
Once you have completed the installation and setup of HAM ThermoSense, you can now customize what will be included and how it will be displayed in the device interface:
1. You can change the device icon and name, according to your preferences, making it easier for you to separate your devices.
- You can find detailed instructions on how to change the device icon, in our article, by clicking here.

2. You can choose which indications you want to permanently appear next to the device name, so you can be constantly informed about these factors.
You can find detailed instructions for the permanent display of the HAM ThermoSense readings in our related article by clicking here.

Device grouping
Once you have completed the renaming of the devices in order to distinguish all the rooms/chambers from which you receive temperature readings, you can further categorize your devices by groups, according to your preferences.
This process can help you have quick and easy access to specific devices located in specific rooms, so that you have a much better overview of the temperature of those rooms.
For example, if you want to separate your devices according to the type of chamber from which you are receiving the readings, you can create groups of devices accordingly (e.g. refrigerators, freezers, etc.)
You can find detailed instructions on how to create groups and add devices to them, in our article by clicking here.

Temperature data reports
In addition to the continuous, live update of temperature readings provided by the HAM ThermoSense device, the HAM Systems app allows you to create detailed reports of temperature readings which give you a more detailed overview of the status of the chamber or room from which you are receiving data.
- You can find detailed instructions on the process of creating Temperature Reports in our article, by clicking here.
In case you have also installed magnetic sensors on the HAM ThermoSense device, you can generate reports of the activity of your chamber door. In this way you can get a detailed picture of the status of the door (open/closed) and the times at which these changes occur, in relation to the temperature changes from opening to closing of the door.
- You can find detailed instructions on the process of creating Event Based Reports in our related article by clicking here.
In case you want to create reports for more than one of your chambers at the same time, using the same criteria (same readings, same time interval), then you are not obliged to perform the same procedure, each time, for each device separately.
- You can find detailed instructions on the Mass Reporting process in our article, by clicking here.
The ability to generate temperature reports instantly, can help you in terms of continuous recording of temperatures, either for your personal log, or for any sanitary inspection by ISO and HACCP certification authorities.

Rules and notifications
One of the many advantages of the HAM ThermoSense device is the ability to create rules for your devices. By setting rules, you can be notified in many ways when a certain event occurs.
By setting notification rules, you can have full control at all times, wherever you are, without having to constantly log in to our app to check:
- The temperature of your chamber and whether it is within the limits you want.
- The status of the refrigerator door and whether it remains open for more than a certain amount of time.
- The power loss of your chamber and the amount of time it may last.
The notification rules are a really useful and life-saving tool to keep you constantly aware and alerted in the event that the very operation of your chamber, and therefore, the very merchandise you may be storing in it, is at risk.
In case you are using the HAM ThermoSense device to monitor any cold room, it is useful to take advantage of the insights offered by the HAM ThermoSense charts, which can be found in the last section of this article "Charts and Data". For example, you can draw useful conclusions about the duration of your freezer's defrost, so that you know the proper length of time to set on a rule.
You can find detailed instructions on the process of creating Rules and Notifications, in our related article, by clicking here.

Sharing
One of the most important features that HAM Systems offers you is the ability to share your devices with third parties. By sharing your devices, you can give various rights to as many of your partners as you wish, for them to read, intervene or fully manage the operation and readings of your devices.
The Sharing feature allows you to check the operation or abnormal behavior of the HAM ThermoSense device itself or the chamber it monitors, even when you do not have access to our platform yourself. It is thus possible for a technician or a responsible engineer with whom you have shared the device, to be informed of its operation and take appropriate corrective action.
At the same time, you have the option to request that all those who have been granted sharing of the device be notified if any of the rules you set in the previous section are violated.
- You can find detailed instructions on Sharing a device with third parties in our related article by clicking here.
In case you want to share more than 1 of your devices with a partner or technician at the same time, you do not need to repeat the above procedure for each device separately each time.

Charts and Data
In addition to the live and continuous updates, through displays and operating rules, as well as the detailed presentation of data through reports, HAM Systems offers you the ability to check the temperature values in aggregate for specific periods of time, with various types of time-dependent value charts, through our app or web-app.
From the data charts you can draw very useful conclusions your cold room's temperature conditions, and thus about the appropriate interventions you can make to meet your needs. At the same time, these conclusions can also help you with regard to the duration of time you should set for a temperature alert rule, taking into account processes such as defrosting a freezer, for example.
You can find detailed instructions on studying, processing and extracting conclusions from the HAM ThermoSense Charts, in our related article by clicking here.
