In some cases, when using HAM devices, it is possible that the device may lose connection to the Internet due to various factors that may contribute to the loss of Wi-Fi.
This will result in the user being notified of the event through our platform, with the appropriate indication "Last online before...".

In this case, we always recommend that you follow the appropriate steps required to restore the HAM device to normal operation, based on the instructions you can see in our article.
"How can I retrieve the data collected during the time the device was offline?"
The above question objectively arises from several of our customers, especially those using our HAM ThermoSense and HAM HumiSense temperature and temperature/humidity recorders.
Fully understanding the need to avoid the slightest loss of data, in case the device loses communication with Wi-Fi, HAM devices, and especially our HAM ThermoSense and HAM HumiSense loggers, offer you the possibility to retrieve the temperature/humidity record for the time the device was offline.
All HAM ThermoSense and HAM HumiSense devices can internally store the record of the data collected, safely, for up to 10 days of continuous disconnection from Wi-Fi.

Caution!
The basic requirements to be able to retrieve the data obtained when the devices are disconnected are:
- The device should only be disconnected from your Wi-Fi and not from the power supply. In the event that a device loses the power supply, you will not be able to retrieve any data for that period of time.
- The device will only be able to give you the data received during disconnection, only when it is reconnected to your Wi-Fi. Until the device recovers the connection, you will only be able to retrieve as much data as was received before the disconnection.

"Is it reliable to rely on the recordings of disconnected devices?"
The ability to save recordings is limited by the following factors:
- If the device also loses power supply while disconnected from Wi-Fi, you will not be able to be notified of the event, as the Wi-Fi Rules and Notifications features will not apply. This may result in a complete loss of data for that period of time.
- The recording upon disconnection feature may be valid for a limited period of time of approximately 10 days. From that point onwards there will be no record of data that can be retrieved.
For all the reasons mentioned above, HAM always recommends to be cautious with the above procedure!
You can take advantage of this feature in very urgent circumstances, however, whenever you receive a device disconnection notification, we strongly recommend that you reset the HAM device to normal operation, following the instructions you can see in our article.
