One of the many advantages of HAM devices is the ability to create rules for your devices. By defining rules, you can instruct to be notified in multiple ways when a certain event occurs that your device is aware of.

You can see how to set notification rules for your devices by following the instructions in our article here.

"In case I have set up multiple rules for devices, how can I get a better view of a problem from my central list of devices?"

In any case where you experience simultaneous failures on several of your devices, resulting in multiple consecutive notifications, there is a fairly simple way to know which devices are currently alerted, by looking at the central list of your devices.

This feature is called "Visual Alarm Alert" and notifies you of a rule violation for a device with a visual signal for as long as the rule is in violation, or continuously until you manually turn it off.

This function can also be an important help in cases where you monitor the main list of your devices continuously via an open panel (tablet, PC, etc.)

Defining the"Visual Alarm Alert"

1. From the main menu of the application, go to the "Rules" category.

2. Locate the rule you have set for the device you want to add the visual alarm to and press the green "+" indicator under the last alert you have set in the "THEN" section.

3. Select: "Name of the specific device (e.g. "Fridge") - "Al. output" - "on", in order to activate the visual alarm whenever the " IF" condition is violated.

4. There are two alternatives for deactivating the visual alarm:

  • Automatic alarm deactivation when the "ON" condition is no longer valid, i.e. when the fault stops.

In this case, in the rule you have defined for the device, add in the "ON RESET" section, the deactivation condition: "Name of the specific device (e.g. "Fridge") - "Al. output". - "off".

  • Manual alarm deactivation whenever you want, even if the fault has been stopped.

In this case, locate the device with the activated alarm and tap on it.

In the options displayed, select the "Clear device alarms" signal to turn off the alert.

In case you wish the visual alarm notification to be accompanied by an additional real alarm notification (e.g. beacon or siren), you can contact our customer service to activate this function.
