One of the significant advantages of HAM devices is the ability to create customizable rules for your devices. By defining these rules, you can receive notifications in various ways when a specific event occurs that your device can detect. This is done using "IF something=true, THEN take an action" conditions. In other words, when the defined condition is met, you will be notified according to your specifications. The process for creating, editing, and removing rules and notifications is detailed below.
Add a new rule

1. Press the button marked "+" to add a new rule.

2. In the box that appears, you see in the "IF" part the part of the condition you want to be satisfied and in the "THEN" part the notification you want to be sent if the condition above is satisfied. Also, you can set the name you want for the rule by clicking on the "New Rule" box.

Creation of an "IF" condition
  1. To establish the condition in the "IF" section, start by specifying the device and the measurement to which the rule will apply in the top line. In the bottom line, define the condition, the limit value of the measurement, and the duration for which the rule will be in effect. The general logic for defining the condition in the bottom line is as follows:
  • "It is above" means in practice that the measurement is moving towards the highest levels
  • "It is below" means in practice that the measurement is moving towards the lower levels

2. In case you wish to create multi-condition rules, you can add a new condition to "IF" by pressing "+" below the previous condition. It is possible to set up to 4 conditions in total.

**Attention! When you set multiple condition rules, the "and" means that ALL conditions must be met IMMEDIATELY in order to receive a notification.

Create "Then" notifications

1. Personal Notifications: In the "THEN" section, you can specify how you would like to be notified in response to the events mentioned in the "IF" section. You have four notification options available. You can combine these options by adding them using the "+" with the "and" function, just like before.

- "Notify me (App)": When the events of "IF" occur, then you receive a notification via the "HAM" app you have on your mobile phone.

- "Send me email": when the events of "IF" occur, then you receive a notification in the email with which you have created an account.

- "Send SMS": when the events of "IF" occur, then you receive an SMS notification to the mobile phone you set up in the form. To use the "Send SMS" option you must have SMS available in your account.

- "Phone call". To use the "Phone call" option, you must have phone calls available on your account.

2.Notifications to Third Parties: You can notify others in the event of any occurrences mentioned in the "IF" section above. There are four different methods you can use to notify third parties. You can combine these methods by adding notifications using the "+" symbol along with the "and" function, just as described earlier.

- "Notify All (App)": When the events of "IF" occur, a notification is sent, via the "HAM" app, to you and everyone who has "Shared" the respective devices.

- "Email to another": when the events of "IF" occur, then a third party that you designate in the form receives a notification in their email.

- "Send SMS": when the events of "IF" occur, then a third party whose mobile phone number you set in the form receives a notification by SMS. To use the "Send SMS" option you must have SMS available in your account.

- "Phone call". To use the "Phone Call" option, you must have phone calls available on your account.

Notifications for resetting to normal operation
In the final part of a rule, you can specify how you would like to be notified when the system resets to normal operation. This means that if the "IF" condition is no longer met and everything returns to normal, you, third parties, or other HAM devices can receive a notification as before.
Disable rule

Select the rule deactivation button and then press "SAVE".

The rule is not deleted, it is simply disabled. You can use the same procedure to activate it again.

Delete rule
Select the delete button for the rule and then confirm the deletion by clicking "Ok" in the message that will appear at the top of your page.
