Rules are conditions you can establish to control the state of your device. Essentially, they set limits for triggering notifications or outputs. For example, if the temperature exceeds a certain threshold, the air conditioner will turn on. The app provides two types of notifications for free: app notifications and email notifications. Additionally, SMS notifications and phone calls are available as optional services for a small fee.
The steps you need to follow to apply the rules are explained below.
- Go to the "Rules" tab located in the top bar of the application
- Select the add new rule, it is the "Add (+)" icon located at the top of the page
- In the box that appears write in the first block the name of the rule you want to set
- Just below it is the condition IF
- In the first box select the device you want to control
- In the second box you select the condition you want to control
- Underneath is the time limit which, if violated, will trigger the rule
- Next step is the result of the condition THEN
- In the first box the type of notification you want is selected
- In the second box you write the message you want it to display
- Finally confirm the rule by pressing the "Create" button
In addition to the notification, you can also enable or disable any device output you want.
