Rules - HAM HumiSense Notifications

One of the many advantages of HAM devices is the ability to create rules for your devices. By defining rules, you can instruct to be notified in multiple ways when a certain event occurs that your device is aware of. This is done in the form of satisfying "IF something=true, THEN take an action" conditions. That is, when the condition you have defined is satisfied, you will be notified in the way you have defined. The process of creating, editing, and removing rules and notifications is detailed below.
Add a new rule

1. Press the button marked "+" to add a new rule.

2. In the box that appears, you will see the "IF" part where you can specify the condition that needs to be satisfied, and the "THEN" part where you can define the notification that should be sent when the condition is met. You can also set the name for the rule by clicking on the "New Rule" box.

Creation of an "IF" treaty

1. In the 'IF' leg, you define the device and the measurement at the top line to which the rule will apply. In the bottom line, you define the condition, the limit value of the measurement, and the time duration for which the rule will apply. The general logic for defining the condition in the bottom line is as follows:

  • It is "above" means in practice that the measurement is moving towards the highest levels
  • "It is below" means in practice that the measurement is moving towards the lowest levels

2. If you want to create multi-condition rules, you can add a new condition to the "IF" statement by pressing the "+" button below the previous condition. You can set up to 4 conditions in total.

Please note that when you set multiple condition rules, the word "and" means that ALL conditions must be met IMMEDIATELY in order to receive a notification.

Create "Then" notifications
1. Personal notifications: You can specify in "THEN" how you wish to be notified in the event of the above events of the "IF" leg. You can choose between four notification modes, which you can use all of them together, by adding notifications from the "+" with the "and" function, as before:

- "Notify me (App)": When the events of "IF" occur, then you receive a notification through the "HAM" app you have on your mobile phone.

- "Send me email": when the events of "IF" occur, then you receive a notification in the email with which you have created an account.

- "Send SMS": when the events of "IF" occur, then you receive a notification by SMS to the mobile phone you set in the form. To use the "Send SMS" option you must have SMS available in your account.

- "Phone call". To use the "Phone call" option, you must have phone calls available on your account.

2. Notifications to Third Parties: In addition to notifying you, it is possible to inform others about the events specified in the "IF" section. You can choose from four notification methods, and you can use all of them together by adding notifications using the "+" and "and" function, just like before.

- "Notify All (App)": When the "IF" events occur, a notification is sent, via the "HAM" app, to you and everyone who has "Shared" the respective devices.

- "Email to another": when the events of "AN" occur, then a third party that you designate in the form receives a notification in their email.

- "Send SMS": when the events of "AN" occur, then a third party whose mobile phone number you set in the form receives a notification by SMS. To use the "Send SMS" option you must have SMS available in your account.

- "Phone call". To use the "Phone Call" option, you must have phone calls available on your account.

3. You can use HAM devices to send notifications to other HAM devices when certain events occur. For example, you could set a rule to turn off an air-conditioner (controlled by a HAM RemoteAC device) if the conditions in a room (monitored by a HAM HumiSense device) exceed a certain value.

Notifications for resetting to normal operation
In the final section of a rule, you have the option to specify the type of notification you will receive when the system returns to normal operation after the initial condition is no longer met. This notification can be sent to you, third parties, or other HAM devices, just as it was before.
Disable rule

Select the rule deactivation button and then press "SAVE".

The rule is not deleted, it is simply disabled. You can use the same procedure to activate it again.

Delete rule
Select the delete button for the rule and then confirm the deletion by clicking "Ok" in the message that will appear at the top of your page.
