One of the many advantages of HAM devices is the ability to create rules for your devices. By defining rules, you can instruct to be notified in multiple ways when a certain event occurs that your device is aware of. You can learn how to set notification rules for your devices by following the instructions in our related article found here. In cases where multiple devices fail simultaneously, resulting in consecutive notifications, you can easily identify which devices are currently in failure by checking your central list of devices. This feature is called "Visual Alarm Notification," and it alerts you to a rule violation for a device with a visual signal for as long as the rule is in violation, or continuously until you manually turn it off.
Definition of "Visual Alarm Notification"

1. From the main menu of the app, go to the "Rules" category.

2. Locate the rule you have set for the device you want to add the visual alarm to and tap the green "+" indicator below the last alert you set in the "THEN" leg.

3. Select: "Name of the specific device - "Output Syn." - Active" in order to activate the visual alert whenever the "ON" condition is violated.

4. To disable the visual alarm, there are two alternatives to deactivate the visual alarm:

  • Automatic alarm deactivation, when the condition of "IF" ceases to apply, i.e. when the fault has stopped. In this case, in the rule you have defined for the device, add in the "IN RESET" leg, the deactivation condition: "Name of the specific device - "Output Syn." - Inactive".
  • Manual alarm deactivation, whenever you wish, even if the fault has been stopped. In this case, locate the device with the activated alarm and press on it. In the options it displays, select the "Clear alarm display" signal to deactivate the display.
In case you wish the visual alarm notification to be accompanied by an additional real alarm notification (e.g. Lighthouse or Siren), you can contact our customer service to activate this function.
