How can I find the Device Key (D/K) of my device?

When you try to register a HAM device, in order to have full control over it through our application, it is necessary to know the Device Key (D/K) of your device in order to insert it.
But what if you are not able to know or see the D/K and therefore register your device?
In this case you need to find and record the Serial Number (S/N) of the device and report it to us by contacting us. By knowing the Serial Number (S/N) of your device, we can provide you with the corresponding Device Key (D/K).
We suggest 3 simple ways in which you can find the Serial Number (S/N) of the device, in order to solve your device registration problem:
1. From the device label
If for some reason the D/K of the device has been erased, but you can see the S/N from the device's label, then the problem is almost solved! You can see the device label on the back of the device, as well as on the first sheet of the instructions included in the device package.
2. From the Access Point name of the device
In case you cannot see the back of the device and you have lost the instructions sheet, there is another way to see the S/N of the device, through the Access Point that the device creates automatically:
- To set up the Access Point, connect the HAM device to the power supply and press the setup button for a few seconds until the green indicator starts flashing. Wait at least 3 minutes for the device's Access Point to turn on.
- Navigate to the available Wi-Fi networks from your mobile phone, by taping and holding the Wi-Fi icon, from your notifications panel.
- In the Wi-Fi list, the Wi-Fi network that the HAM device has created through its Access Point is displayed. The numbers that appear in the name of its Access Point, are its Serial Number (S/N).
3. From the HAM Systems app or website.
In case you cannot see the device's Access Point and you have already claimed the device to your account, but you still want to know the Device Key (D/K), then you can simply find the S/N of the device you are interested in, through the HAM Systems website or app:
- In the "Devices" tab, select the device whose S/N you want to know and press "MORE".
- In the device list, tap the "Firmware" category.
- In the Firmware tab, you can see the S/N of your device.
**Alternatively, you can press the button of the device's settings (1) and easily see the S/N of your device at the bottom of the list (2).
Once you have found and recorded the S/N of the device, you can contact HAM Systems so that we can use the S/N to locate the D/K you need to register the device.
