HAM HumiSense recordings in case of device disconnection

Sometimes, HAM devices may lose their connection to the Internet due to various factors affecting WiFi. When this happens, users will receive a notification through our platform with the message "Last connection before...". In such cases, we advise taking the necessary steps to restore the HAM device to normal operation.
Data recovery
All HAM HumiSense devices can internally store the record of the measurements taken, safely, for up to 10 days of continuous disconnection from WiFi. The basic requirements to be able to recover the data obtained when disconnecting the devices are as follows:
  • The device should only be disconnected from WiFi and not from the power supply. In the event that a device loses power, you will not be able to recover any data for that time.
  • The device will only be able to give you the data received during disconnection when it is reconnected to WiFi. Until the device recovers the connection, you will only be able to get as much data as was received before the disconnection.
"Is it reliable to rely on the recordings when disconnecting devices?"
The ability to store recordings is limited by the following factors:
  • If the device loses power while disconnected from WiFi, you will not be able to be notified of the event, as the Rules and Notifications features will not apply outside of WiFi. This may result in a complete loss of data for that period of time.
  • The logging on disconnection feature may be valid for a limited period of time of approximately 10 days. From then on there will be no measurement record that can be retrieved.
You can take advantage of this feature in very emergency situations, however, whenever you receive a device disconnection notification, we strongly recommend that you reset the HAM device to normal operation.
