One of the many advantages of HAM devices is the ability to create custom rules for your devices. By defining these rules, you can receive notifications in various ways when a specific event occurs that the device can detect. These rules follow the format "IF something is true, THEN take an action." In other words, when the condition you have set is met, you will receive a notification according to your specifications. The process for creating, editing, and removing rules and notifications is detailed below.
Add a new rule

1. Press the button marked "+" to add a new rule.

2. In the box that appears, you see in the "IF" part the part of the condition you want to be satisfied and in the "THEN" part the notification you want to be sent if the condition above is satisfied. Also, you can set the name you want for the rule by clicking on the "New Rule" box.

Creation of an "IF" condition

1. To define the condition in the 'IF' leg, start with the top line where you specify the device and the measurement to which the rule will apply. In the bottom line, outline the condition, the limit value of the measurement, and the duration for which the rule will remain in effect. The general logic for defining the condition in the bottom line is as follows:

  • "It is above" means in practice that the measurement is moving towards the highest levels
  • "It is below" means in practice that the measurement is moving towards the lower levels

2. In case you wish to create multi-condition rules, you can add a new condition to "IF" by pressing "+" below the previous condition. It is possible to set up to 4 conditions in total.

**Attention! When you set multiple condition rules, the "and" means that ALL conditions must be met IMMEDIATELY in order to receive a notification.

Create " THEN " notifications
1. Personal Notifications: In the "THEN" section, you can specify how you would like to be notified about the events outlined in the "IF" section. You have four notification modes to choose from, and you can combine them by adding notifications using the "+" and the "and" function, just as before.

- "Notify me (App)": When the events of "AN" occur, then you receive a notification through the "HAM" app you have on your mobile phone.

- "Send me email": when the events of "AN" occur, then you receive a notification in the email with which you have created an account.

- "Send SMS": when the events of "AN" occur, then you receive a notification by SMS to the mobile phone you set in the form. To use the "Send SMS" option you must have SMS available in your account.

- "Phone call". To use the "Phone call" option, you must have phone calls available on your account.

2. Notifications to third parties: It is possible to notify others besides you in the event of the above events of the "IF" part of the "IF". You can choose between four ways of notifying third parties, which you can use all of them together by adding notifications from the "+" with the "and" function, as before:
Notifications for resetting to normal operation
At the end of a rule, you can specify how you will be notified about the "Reset to normal operation." This means that if the "IF" condition is no longer met and everything returns to normal, you, third parties, or other HAM devices can receive notifications just as before.
Disable rule
Select the disable rule button and then press "SAVE". The rule is not deleted; it is simply disabled. You can follow the same procedure to enable it again.
Delete rule
Select the delete button for the rule and then confirm the deletion by clicking "Ok" in the message that will appear at the top of your page.
