All HAM Systems devices require a Wi-Fi connection in order to be able to communicate with our cloud and efficiently capture and send the necessary readings and data to our customers.
The question that often arises from our active or potential customers, is how they can place our devices in places where their Wi-Fi router has no range.
The solution to this problem can easily be found by purchasing and installing an Access Point. These devices are on the market in many different versions, sizes and types and are quite affordable. In case you have any old router device that you are not using, this can become your Access Point, with proper programming, in easy steps.
What is a Wi-Fi Access Point?
A "Wi-Fi Access Point" is a device that creates a wireless local area network, or WLAN. A "Wi-Fi Access Point" is wired to your router via an Ethernet cable and projects the Wi-Fi signal to a designated area.

How can I use it?
If you want to activate Wi-Fi access in an area of your company that does not have a router in range, so that the devices you purchased from HAM Systems can work, you can install a "Wi-Fi Access Point" near the specific area and connect it to your central router with an Ethernet cable of as many meters as required. The instructions for installation and configuration are very simple and are provided with the device.
Now you are ready!
It seems that in a very simple and cost-effective way, you can place our devices wherever you need them, without worrying about whether your Wi-Fi range covers the area.
