Mounting and installation of the HAM ThermoSense device

Suggested way of installation
Please place the HAM ThermoSense device on or near the chamber where you want to measure the temperature. You can use the double-sided adhesive tape (red lines) to attach it to the wall or other surfaces. It's best to position the device near a power outlet so you can power it using the provided USB cable. Make sure to place the main part of the device (the white box) outside the cooling chamber, with the sensor extending into the chamber. After securing the main part of the device, insert the temperature measurement sensor into the chamber. The easiest way is to have the sensor enter the cooler through the door hose. Secure the sensor in a suitable place to ensure accurate temperature measurements.
For measurements from cold chambers, we recommend that you place the sensor in a position within the chamber that is representative of its temperature.
Installation alternatives
Apart from the usb cable the device can also be powered by an external power supply (5-12V DC) by connecting it to positions 1 and 2. It would be advisable to consult a technician (electrician, refrigeration engineer) for the connection. Many people choose to pass the sensor through special cracks that exist and not through the door hose. It is a good technique, however always for its application we suggest you consult your refrigeration engineer.
What to avoid
For the most efficient temperature measurement we recommend avoiding the following:
- Placing the sensor where it is exposed when the door is open
- Place the sensor where it is blown by the refrigerator fan.
- The sensor should be against the walls of the refrigerator.
- The sensor shall rest against products that may be inside the refrigerator.
- Placing the sensor close to the lamp that may be in the refrigerator
