Firstly, the user with whom you want to share the device must create an account via the HAM Systems website or application so that the sharing platform recognises their email address.
- In the "Devices" tab, select the device you want to share and click "More"
- Click on the "Share" submenu
- Enter the email of the user you want to share your device with and set the permission level you want to give them for your device
- Click on the "Update sharing" button to give him/her access
- The user will receive a message in their email asking them to accept the sharing
Once he accepts, he will be able to see the device he has shared in his account from our app or web app.
Status selection
Read: Monitor device status, data and print reports. Monitor device reports, status reports and reports on device status, reports on device status and reports, with no ability to intervene or edit settings.
Write: monitoring of device status and data, printing of reports and control on the various device outputs (if any). No possibility to edit settings.
Admin: full access to system capabilities.
Local only
If you want to share devices but do not want them to be controlled when someone is out of range of the device, the HAM Systems application gives you this option. By selecting the 'Local only' checkbox, you can restrict access only to accounts that are within range of the device. Of course, this requires you to share them normally by selecting one of the three situations above.
Deleting a device
If you no longer want to see the device in your account you can delete it by following the steps below
- In the "Devices" tab, select the device you want to delete and click "More"
- Click on the "Sharing" submenu
- Select to delete the device
