HAM RemoteAC setup - Connecting to Wi Fi

1. Open the HAM Systems app and log in to your account. If you don't have an account, you can see instructions on how to register here. 

2. In the "Devices" tab, tap "+" to add the new device.

3. Select "HAM RemoteAC", from the list of devices that appears.

4. Enter the name and password of the Wi-Fi network you want your device to connect to and tap "Next". Be careful to enter the correct Wi-Fi credentials.

5. On the RemoteAC device, hold the Setup button for a few seconds until the green LED light starts blinking. At he same time in the HAM Systems app, click "Next" on the corresponding instruction page.

6. The application will then start sending your Wi-Fi credentials to the HAM RemoteAC device on its own. In case it doesn't, i.e. you don't see the loading circle next to the "Send" button, then tap it manually.

7. Your Wi-Fi credentials will have been successfully sent when the green LED is now steadily lit without blinking. 

8.0 If your Wi-Fi credentials are successfully sent, a field will appear in the app, asking you to enter the Device Key (D/K) of the device. You can find the Device Key (D/K) on the label on the back of the device, or on the first page of the instruction sheet. 

** In some cases the Device Key (D/K) input field is not displayed directly. You will first see a prompt from the application asking you what state the green LED light is in. In this case, and as long as it is fully lit, select "Green LED is fully on" and then "Claim device". You will then be taken to the Device Key (D/K) entry page.

8.1. In case the green LED keeps blinking, you can configure the HAM RemoteAC device with the suggested alternative methods following the instructions presented in our related article you can find here.

8.2. In case the green LED is completely off, you can configure the HAM RemoteAC device by following the instructions presented in our related article you can find here.

9. If you have entered the device's Device Key (D/K) correctly, you now see the device in the list, along with the other devices. You can now take advantage of all the features offered by HAM Systems' devices.

1. In the "Devices" tab, select the HAM RemoteAC device you wish to synchronise with your air conditioner and click "More".

2. In the list of options that appears, select "Settings".

3. In the first category, make sure you select "Air Conditioner". In the second category, browse through the options until you find the manufacturer of your own air conditioner that you want to sync.

3.1. If you find the manufacturer of your air conditioner in the list, select it. Some models with separate serial numbers will appear just below.

Press the "Auto-try all" option to have the HAM RemoteAC device start searching for your air conditioner.

During the search (1) you should be alert, so, when your air conditioner makes a beeping sound, stop the process by pressing the corresponding indicator (2).

Then select "OK" on the option that caused the sound from your air conditioner, so that the HAM RemoteAC device is fully synchronized with your air conditioner (3).

3.2. If you do not find the manufacturer of your air conditioner in the list, click on the "Other" option at the end of the list.

Press the "Auto-try all" option to have the HAM RemoteAC device start searching for your air conditioner. 

During the search (1) you should be alert, so when your air conditioner makes a beeping sound, stop the process by pressing the corresponding indicator (2).

Then select "OK" on the option that caused the sound from your air conditioner so that the HAM RemoteAC device is fully synchronized with your air conditioner (3).

** Help us to further optimize the process of finding your air conditioner! In case your manufacturer is not on our list, after you sync your air conditioner, record its serial number and let us know who the manufacturer is.
